Koidu Holdings contracted leading Canadian geophysics instrumentation manufacturer, Phoenix Geophysics Limited, to undertake an Audiofrequency Magnetotelluric (AMT) survey at the Koidu Kimberlite Project in March 2007. Although the technique was found suitable and confirmed the known kimberlite bodies, no new discoveries were made in the area surveyed at Koidu.

In June 2007, the second phase of the core drilling programme commenced with three holes to investigate the Ring Structure, followed by detailed delineation drilling of No. 2 Pipe. Drilling of No. 1 Pipe and associated blows on Dyke Zones A and B commenced in September 2007.
